Non-Profit Autism Center Serving Salem, Cumberland and Gloucester Counties

What is Autism?
Autism is a severe development disorder that affects the way a child sees and interacts with the rest of the world. It limits their ability to connect with others socially, often exhibiting sensory processing challenges and severe speech/language delays.  It is part of a larger realm of disorderd often referred to as Pervasive Development Disorders (PDD).
Who is the Salem County Center for Autism?
The Salem County Center for Autism (SCCA) began its work in the community with grassroot humble beginnings and has grown into a much greater magnitude.  Being the first of its kind in the region as a cost free center; the SCCA serves as the premier resource for residents of Salem County allowing children and their families to find answers, support, as well as relief from the stress and confusion that comes from a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
How can the SCCA help?
By means of this larger support system, we are able to bridge the gap for services not available by other agencies, providing up-to-date information on Legal Services, Healthcare Professionals, Schools and Programs, along with workshops and events.  Aware of the complexities in navigating state, private and health organizations, the SCCA will work as an alliance and resource through our qualitifed and experienced staff; giving parts a One-Stop approach to therapies and treatments in-volving ASD's.
